For thousands of years, virtually every culture and age has recognized the aesthetic qualities of water as well as its importance in sustaining life.
Raymond Brothers Landscaping, Inc. is a landscaping company serving Hillsdale NJ and the rest of Bergen County that’s passionate about bringing the beauty of nature into your own setting by creating unique water falls, streams and ponds that mirror those found in nature. These creations are often destinations – places where family, friends and neighbors gather to their beckoning noises and beauty!
These creations can be as simple as a subtle bubbling boulder, a pondless water feature eliminating the concern of standing water, or as detailed as a small lake with multiple streams flowing in.
Water features are the hottest trend in landscaping today! A well designed and built water feature not only adds immediate value for a home or business, but it provides a soothing and relaxing escape from the pressures and chaos of daily life.
Are you interested in installing a new water feature in your yard, but concerned about the safety and liabilities of having a pond? Or are you apprehensive about taking on the responsibility of maintaining a full-fledged ecosystem? Well, we have the answer for you. The Pondless Waterfall is basically that – a waterfall and stream, without the pond.
Ideal for commercial or public areas where liabilities are a concern
Virtually maintenance free. Simply add water once in a while to compensate for evaporation.
Energy efficient. Does not have to run continuously like a pond. Can be set on a timer to go on and off as desired. Can be shut down for the winter or when you go on vacation.
If you have small children and safety is a concern you can start out with a pondless waterfall and add the pond later!
Waterfalls will help disguise undesirable sounds coming from the neighborhood so you can relax.
Why is it called pondless?
Since the water never pools above the level of rocks and gravel fill, the water looks as though it just disappears into the rocks.
Where does the water go?
A large hole is dug and lined with rocks and gravel. This is the reservoir where the water collects and then gets pumped up to the falls where it comes back down again.
Can I still incorporate water plants?
Sure. Water plants can be added to the falls and reservoir giving you options not available in an ordinary garden.
